Nephew of former Missouri governor reported missing in California

The nephew of a former Missouri governor has been missing since New Year’s Eve and was last seen in downtown Sacramento, according to police.

The Sacramento Police Department said Alexander Holden, 25, was last seen wearing a tan pullover jacket, is 6-foot-1 and about 190 pounds.

Alexander Holden is the son of Calvin Holden and Margaret Palmietto, both judges in Missouri, as reported by the Springfield News-Leader. Alexander Holden is the nephew of former Missouri Gov. Bob Holden, Calvin’s brother.

A Reddit post created Wednesday said that he had been walking from the corner of 22nd and I streets headed toward Natomas at 2:30 a.m.

The poster said Holden “got in an argument late at night and said he was going to walk to an old home in Natomas to sleep there. He’s done the walk / run before; following the Sacramento Northern Bikeway.”

Family told police that Holden’s disappearance was uncharacteristic. The police department asked anyone with information regarding Holden’s whereabouts to call 911.

Calvin Holden told the News-Leader that his son has lived in Sacramento for about two years, works at Amazon and had no history of disappearing. He told the newspaper Thursday that he was en route to Sacramento from a vacation in Australia, and his ex-wife, Palmietto, was also bound for Sacramento.
