Former Missouri Scout leader sentenced again for child porn

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) – A former Boy Scout leader in northeast Missouri is getting additional prison time after pleading guilty to three felonies involving child pornography.

The Quincy (Ill.) Herald-Whig reports that 25-year-old Ian Burow, formerly of Hannibal, pleaded guilty this past week to one count each of sexual exploitation of a minor, promoting a sexual performance by a child and attempted promotion of a sexual performance by a child. A Boone County judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison to run concurrently with a 20-year federal sentence.

Burow pleaded guilty in federal court earlier in February to eight child porn-related counts.

Authorities say Burow posed as a woman on social media and tricked boys into sending illicit photos. Burows had contact information from his time with the Boy Scouts.
