Call it “the cookie dough caper.”
Awakened by commotion, a woman came out of her bedroom shortly before 3:30 a.m. Thursday and found a stranger eating cookie dough from her refrigerator freezer, police said.
Police arrived at the house and confronted the 28-year-old intruder.
“The suspect told police he believed it to be his aunt’s house and he was hungry,” Lt. James Espinoza said. “So he went to the freezer” and began eating cookie dough.
The man entered the house through an unlocked back door, Espinoza said. The 52-year-old woman who lives there was not hurt.
The intruder was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
