Man robs laundromat at Harry, George Washington Boulevard
A man robbed a laundromat Monday afternoon at Harry and George Washington Boulevard, police say, but he didn’t get very far before he was apprehended.
The man walked into the Fabric Care Center at 2910 E. Harry, indicated he had a weapon and demanded money from an employee, Lt. Dan East said. The employee complied and the man left.
Sedgwick County sheriff’s deputies patrolling in the area heard the suspect description over the police radio and recognized him as he walked near Erie and Osie about a block south of the business. He was taken into custody.
“The clerk gave a very, very good description and that helped law enforcement,” East said.
