Man, 37, in custody after disrupting baseball practice at McAdams Park
A 37-year-old man was arrested Saturday after he disrupted a practice at the McAdams Park baseball fields.
The incident happened at 4:25 p.m. Saturday at 1300 E. 13th St., according to Sgt. Ed Brower, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
The man walked onto the field disrupting the practice, Brower said. When a coach told him to leave, the man became upset, grabbed a baseball bat and made several threats. Wichita police officers arrived a short time later and took the man into custody on suspicion of aggravated assault.
“I don’t know what prompted the actions,” Brower said. “He was acting strange. Very unusual.”
