Loretta Lynn to play Orpheum Theatre on Sept. 20
Country music legend Loretta Lynn will perform in September at the Orpheum Theatre, 200 N. Broadway, the venue announced Friday.
Tickets to the concert, scheduled for 8 p.m. Sept. 20, go on sale at 10 a.m. May 16. Tickets are $45 to $70 and are available at Select-A-Seat outlets, at 316-755-SEAT or at
. They also can be purchased in person at the Intrust Bank Arena box office, participating Dillons stores and Plant Employee Clubs.
Lynn, 82, is a chart-topping, old-school country music singer-songwriter best known for hits such as “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’” and “Your Squaw Is On the War Path.”
“To make it in this business, you either have to be first, great or different,” Lynn said in a news release issued by the Orpheum. “And I was the first to ever go into Nashville, singin’ in like the women lived it.”
Lynn last played the Orpheum in 2010.
