Kansas woman killed in Saturday wreck

A 64-year-old Blue Mound, Kansas woman was killed Saturday when her SUV left the road and struck a tree.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Charlene Jo Conner died in the one-vehicle accident south of Centerville, Kansas, in Linn County.

Investigators say Conner’s vehicle went off the road, crossed a creek, hit several small trees and fence posts, then struck a large tree.

The woman died at the scene. The accident report says she was wearing a seat belt.
