One thief caught, another escapes police
WICHITA — Police officers who noticed a suspicious vehicle parked near the Rowdy Beaver next to Kellogg and West Street early this morning didn't have to wait long to discover what was going on.
Two men appeared, carrying copper pipe and wiring, at about 3:15 a.m. in the 600 block of South West. The officers were able to apprehend one of the suspects, a 24-year-old Augusta man, police said.
The other suspect escaped, but police have learned his identity and are looking for him.
