22-year-old man killed in head-on crash involving semi in Miami County
A 22-year-old man was killed in a head-on crash involving a semi truck late Wednesday night in Miami County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened around 11 p.m. on Kansas 68 highway at Lookout Road, about five miles northwest of Paola.
According to an online crash report provided by the highway patrol, a westbound 1990 Mazda car, driven by Dalis M. Palmer, crossed the center line on the highway and struck an eastbound 2010 Peterbilt semi, driven by 37-year-old Jordan T. Chism.
Palmer, an Osawatomie resident, was pronounced dead.
Chism, of Michie, Tennessee, was taken to a hospital with what were thought be minor injuries.
