Kansas man crashes Jaguar into building after passenger bites his ear

A man giving an acquaintance a ride to his mother’s house got more than he bargained for Monday night, police said.

The 56-year-old man told police his 28-year-old passenger “freaked out” and bit him on the right ear as he was driving shortly before 10 p.m., causing him to strike a median, jump a curb and crash his 2002 Jaguar into a dentist’s office, Lt. James Espinoza said. That’s in southeast Wichita.

The collision with the building sent both men to the hospital, Lt. James Espinoza, but their injuries weren’t serious.

The passenger was under the influence of something at the time of the attack, but police haven’t determined what it was.
