See who won and lost in election for Lee’s Summit School Board

Voters in the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District re-elected two current school board members, Kamile Johnson and Erica Miller, and one former board member, Rodrick Sparks, on Tuesday.

Unofficial results from Jackson County, Cass County and Kansas City showed Johnson claiming around 8,600 votes, while Miller pulled in around 8,000 votes and Sparks, who previously served on the board from 2021 to 2024, took in around 7,800 votes. The top three vote-getters will earn spots on the board.

Incumbent board member Regina Garrett took around 6,600 votes and fell short in her reelection bid, as did Matt Warton, who claimed around 6,300 votes, and Kirsti Martin, who took around 6,900 votes.
