Has your mail-in ballot been received yet? Here’s how to check around Kansas City
Kansans who are voting by mail can still send their ballots in as long as they are postmarked by Election Day, Nov. 8. But in Missouri, your election board needs to receive your mail-in ballot by the time polls close on Election Day.
So, if you haven’t already sent it, it may be too late to put your Missouri ballot in the mail. You can still return your ballot to an in-person absentee voting site or to your local election board until 5 p.m. on Nov. 7. Otherwise, you’ll have to vote in person on Election Day.
If you waited until the last second to vote, don’t worry. The Star has a cheat sheet for you.
If you’ve already mailed in your ballot, you can track it to see if your election board has received it.
MISSOURI
There is no universal ballot tracking in the state. If you voted in Kansas City south of the river, track your ballot here by entering your ballot tracking number ID.
If you voted in another county, you’ll have to contact your local election office to see where your ballot is. You can find the contact information for your local election board here.
KANSAS
Kansas residents will need to go to this website to track their mail-in ballots. You’ll have to enter your name and date of birth, and it will show you if you’ve voted absentee.
You can also contact your local election office. Find your local election board here.
