Election Day is almost here, which means there are just a few more chances to cast your ballot in the Kansas City area. Early voting is already underway in Kansas and Missouri leading up to Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Are you prepared to vote? Here’s what you need to know in the last few days leading up to the election.

How many people have voted so far?

As of Thursday, thousands of people have voted in each county that makes up the Kansas City area. Here are the latest counts. We haven’t heard back from Jackson County or Kansas City yet, but we’ll update this piece when we do.

Platte County: 3,236

Clay County: 6,763

Johnson County: 74,472

Wyandotte County: 8,939

“We’re at about 16.6% more ballots cast at this time versus what it was in the primary election,” Johnson County Election Commissioner told The Star. He noted that voter numbers have been relatively steady compared to the primary election, where voter numbers rose every day leading up to Election Day.

“The indication is that hopefully there isn’t as big of an Election Day rush,” he added. “But there could be.”
