People who voted Tuesday in Kansas and Missouri’s midterms elections are now waiting to see the results in everything from the Kansas governor’s race and the battle for a U.S. Senate seat in Missouri down to Kansas City’s library levy.

Democrat Laura Kelly will become the next governor of Kansas after voters rejected Republican Kris Kobach’s hard-right campaign and embraced Kelly’s promises of moderation and stability.

Sharice Davids defeated four-term incumbent Republican Rep. Kevin Yoder to capture Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

Republican attorney general Josh Hawley defeated incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill in the Missouri Senate race.
