Viewers expected Melania Trump to share anecdotes about her husband Donald's role behind the scenes — what he's like as a father, a spouse, a patriot — when she took the stage at the Republican National Convention Monday.

What they got instead was a speech seemingly cobbled together with lines from Michelle Obama's discourse at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
