President Barack Obama will appear on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon Thursday night, and the interview is about as tongue in cheek as you’d expect.

Obama took some digs at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and implied that during a planned meeting with Sen. Bernie Sanders Thursday, Obama might be asking him to drop out of the race to make way for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“Is he ever going to drop out?” Fallon asked Obama about Sanders. “Or he’s going to stay in?”

“Yeah, I’m going to be talking to him tomorrow. He’s going to be coming to the White House,” Obama responded. “And the main role I’m going to be playing in this process is to remind the American people that this is a serious job. You know, this is not reality TV.”

Later on, Fallon asked if Obama thought Republicans were happy with their candidate. Obama responded, “We are.”

“I don’t know how they’re feeling,” he said, sparking cheers from the audience. “So actually, you know what, that was too easy. But the truth is actually I am worried about the Republican Party. And I know that sounds — you know —you know what it sounds like.”

Obama said he was worried because what’s happening in the GOP isn’t “good for the country as a whole.”

“It’s not something Democrats should wish for. And my hope is, is that maybe once you get through this cycle, there’s some corrective action and they get back to being a center-right party,” Obama said. “And Democratic Party being a center -eft party. And we start figuring how to work together.”

Obama added that he hasn’t spoken to Trump at all.

The segment will air at 11:45 p.m. EDT Thursday on NBC.
