Kansas City youths can sign up Saturday for Mayor’s Nights, a summer recreation and entertainment program that includes Club KC and Night Hoops.

Registration is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brush Creek Community Center, 3801 Emanuel Cleaver Blvd. After that, people can go to kcmayor.org/mayorsnights to register online and then pick up their cards at any city community center.

Registration for Club KC is open all summer. It closes for Night Hoops, Kicks and Nets on June 10.

A Mayor’s Nights VIP card is required to participate in events, but people who still have their VIP cards from previous years don’t need to register again.

Club KC, for youths ages 11-18, features DJs, dancing, video games and other activities. It starts the Friday evening before Memorial Day, May 27, at the Gregg/Klice and Tony Aguirre community centers for middle school students and at Brush Creek Community Center for high school students.

Club KC runs through early August.

Night Hoops and other summer athletic activities start in June.

A full calendar of events should be available next week at kcmayor.org.
