President Barack Obama will travel to the Kansas City area next week to deliver a speech on the economy, the White House announced Tuesday.

Obama will arrive July 29 and spend the night here. He’ll deliver his speech July 30.

Further details of the visit, including the exact location, were not immediately available. It isn’t known if the public will be able to attend the speech.

Obama last visited the area in September, when he spoke at the Ford plant in Claycomo.
