Voters approve school bond issues for Raymore-Peculiar, Hickman Mills and Oak Grove
Of three school bond issues passed in Tuesday’s elections, the biggest was in the Raymore-Peculiar School District, where voters approved a measure to let the district borrow $27 million for school construction, renovations and equipment.
The Raymore-Peculiar bond issue passed with 80 percent of the vote.
The school bond issues were among a series of tax questions, school bond issues and candidates for municipal offices on ballots in Missouri, in addition to a few local elections in Kansas.
The Hickman Mills and Oak Grove school districts also put bond issues up for a vote.
Voters passed a measure to let the Hickman Mills School District issue $19 million in general obligation bonds for school construction and renovation.
In Oak Grove, a measure to let the school district borrow $2.9 million for school improvements passed.
