Ted Cruz campaigns Wednesday in Kansas, and Bernie Sanders and Marco Rubio will follow

Three senators’ road shows reach Kansas this week, just before Saturday’s caucuses.

Sen. Ted Cruz is first. The Republican will campaign Wednesday night at Yardley Hall on the campus of Johnson County Community College, 12345 College Blvd in Overland Park. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the program starting an hour later. The event is free, but seating is limited. Those attending are encouraged to RSVP through the candidate’s website at www.tedcruz.org.

Before the rally, Cruz plans to drop by Joe’s Kansas City Barbecue at 11950 S. Strang Line Road in Olathe. That stop is set for 5 p.m.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Democratic presidential candidate, will hold a free campaign event Thursday at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, Community Building, 1930 Harper St., in Lawrence. Doors open at 4 p.m. The campaign also encourages RSVPs at berniesanders.com.

Sen. Marco Rubio, a Republican presidential candidate, will hold a public rally Friday afternoon in the Wichita area. It will take place at 1:45 p.m. at Colonel James Jabara Airport, 3512 N. Webb Road. His website is at marcorubio.com.
