Mayor Sly James to announce new East Side development effort
Kansas City Mayor Sly James says he is trying to spur more East Side development, and he will propose a new development effort Wednesday.
James will unveil plans to encourage projects in the city’s most severely distressed neighborhoods. The announcement follows a citizens petition drive that overturned a major tax incentive plan in the Crossroads, which critics said is a part of town that should no longer require incentives.
