The Kansas City Council’s Airport Committee will hear analysis Tuesday of various renovation options for Kansas City International Airport.

The meeting is at 10 a.m. in the 10th floor committee room at City Hall, 414 E. 12th St.

Consultants in the past have concluded that renovating two terminals is more expensive than building a single new terminal.

A more modest renovation proposal has surfaced, by a planning team led by Kansas City-based Crawford Architects, that would renovate two terminals over a longer period of time for a lower projected cost.

A consultant for the airlines that serve KCI will offer analysis on whether the Crawford plan and other renovation plans can meet the long-term needs of a 21st century airport.
