Columbia one of the best college towns in the U.S.
In a study ranking the best and worst college towns in America, Columbia fared pretty high on the list, which included Kansas City and St. Louis as good academically, socially and economically for students.
WalletHub, a financial website, ranked Columbia, home of the University of Missouri, at 10. Lawrence, home of the University of Kansas, checked in at No. 24.
Both ranked ahead of St. Louis, at No. 26; Boulder, Colo. at 29; Lincoln, Neb. at 46; and Tulsa at 84. Kansas City was ranked 101.
Out of 326 college towns in the overall ranking Ann Arbor, Mich. topped the list as the best in the country.
