KC hires new creative services director from Austin

Kansas City has hired an experienced arts professional from Austin, Texas, to serve in the new municipal position of director of creative services.

Megan Crigger starts in Kansas City on Jan. 5. She brings 17 years of experience in Austin, most recently as cultural arts division manager. Officials said that under her direction, Austin made considerable strides in tourism, arts and culture.

In Kansas City, she will be tasked with cultural planning and relationship-building and with advancing art and cultural initiatives in the city.
