The first of four streetcar vehicles to serve Kansas City’s downtown streetcar line is scheduled to arrive after the Monday morning rush hour.

The best guess of the arrival time was around 10 a.m. or thereafter.

The public is invited to watch from a safe viewing area within the northern half of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority’s park-and-ride lot at Third Street and Grand Boulevard in River Market.

Additional parking for viewers should be available in other City Market lots and on side streets. There will be no parking allowed along Grand Boulevard from Third to Second streets.

The streetcar will be offloaded onto tracks along Second Street just east of Oak Street. It will then be attached to a tow truck and pulled to the Singleton Yard vehicle maintenance facility at 600 E. Third St.
