Sen. Pat Roberts has picked up a luke-warm endorsement from primary opponent Milton Wolf.

In a Facebook post Thursday, Wolf urged Kansans “to set aside our differences and vote Republican in this critical Senate race.”

Roberts’ name is only mentioned twice in a nearly 400-word statement and the Leawood physician hinted he’s still angry about his treatment during the primary.

“Be assured that if Pat Roberts is to be re-elected, I will do everything in my power to hold his feet to the fire,” Wolf wrote. “And be assured that the fullness of the duplicity, dishonesty and abuse of power that has marked this election will be exposed.”

Some websites reported several weeks ago that Wolf was considering an endorsement of Greg Orman, Roberts’ opponent. That never materialized.

At least two organized tea party groups have endorsed Roberts, who remains locked in a tight race with Orman.
