Kansas and Missouri senators voted to confirm Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as secretary of U.S. Health and Human Services.

Every senator from both states supported the nomination. The Feb. 13 vote in the U.S. Senate was 52-48.

Kennedy has vowed to remake the federal health system to advance his “Make America Healthy Again” agenda, but he hasn’t embraced the scientific consensus that vaccines don’t cause autism. Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the sole Republican no vote and a polio survivor, assailed Kennedy’s confirmation.

Among Kansas and Missouri senators, Sen. Eric Schmitt, a Missouri Republican, posted “MAHA” after the Thursday vote.

Sen. Roger Marshall, a Kansas Republican, said on X that he was ready “to get to work with @SecKennedy to restore the health of our nation.” The post included a photo of Marshall and Kennedy shaking hands in the Oval Office.

Kennedy was sworn in at the White House on Thursday.

How They Voted:

Sen. Josh Hawley, Missouri Republican - Yes

Sen. Eric Schmitt, Missouri Republican - Yes

Sen. Roger Marshall, Kansas Republican - Yes

Sen. Jerry Moran, Kansas Republican - Yes
