Jim Glover seeks re-count in KC Council race loss to Katheryn Shields
Jim Glover, Kansas City’s 4th District at-large councilman, is seeking a re-count in his June 23 general election loss to Katheryn Shields.
Glover filed petitions with courts in Jackson, Clay, Platte and Cass counties to seek a re-count of the voting returns. Those returns showed him losing by 132 votes out of 32,956 votes cast.
Candidates can seek an orderly re-count in elections where the vote was decided by less than 1 percent.
