Are you registered to vote? Tuesday is Kansas’ deadline before Nov. 8 election
The last day to register to vote in Kansas is Oct. 18. You can register online here. In order to register you need to be a U.S. citizen, a Kansas resident and at least 18 years old.
WHAT DO I NEED TO REGISTER TO VOTE?
You will need a photo ID, which can include a Kansas driver’s license or a non-driver’s license identification card in order to register to vote and to vote on election day. The state’s law requires that if the photo ID has an expiration date on it, that it is not expired at the time of voting. However the ID doesn’t have to have an expiration date on it.

WHAT OTHER FORMS OF ID ARE VALID AT THE POLLS?
Aside from driver’s license and state IDs, there are a number of other photo IDs that can work at the polls. Here are all the valid forms of ID, according to the Kansas Secretary of State’s office:
A driver’s license or state ID card
U.S. Passport
U.S. Military ID
IDs issued by a Native American tribe
Student ID cards from an accredited college or university in Kansas
Concealed carry license issued by Kansas or another state
ID issued by a government agency or office
An ID card issued for public assistance by a government office
DO I HAVE TO VOTE ALONG PARTY LINES IN THE GENERAL?
You don’t have to be affiliated with a party to vote in the general election.
HOW DO I AFFILIATE MYSELF WITH A POLITICAL PARTY IN KANSAS?
If you’re registering to vote for the first time, you can simply indicate your party choice on your registration application.
