Former Sen. Bob Dole is being honored Friday morning with a memorial service at the Washington National Cathedral, part of a series of events honoring the Kansas Republican icon.

You can watch the memorial service here:

The service begins at 10 a.m. CT and invited guests began filing in and taking their seats more than two hours before the ceremony.

President Joe Biden, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, former Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts and Dole’s daughter Robin Dole will offer tributes at the private service. Country music singer Lee Greenwood will perform “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from the musical Carousel and his famous song “God Bless the U.S.A.”

After the service, the motorcade with Dole’s casket will go to the World War II Memorial where there will be a public service with remarks from Tom Hanks, Savannah Guthrie and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
