Kansas City region had a Trump boat parade Sunday. There was a Joe Biden boat, too

Some local supporters of President Donald Trump took to the waters Sunday, gathering at Smithville Lake, about 30 miles north of Kansas City, for an organized Trump boat parade.

Videos posted on YouTube and Facebook showed dozens of boats joined in the event, with many raising Trump flags and playing patriotic music.

Multiple photos also showed someone had set up a Joe Biden boat on the lake, along with a mannequin representing the Democratic presidential candidate.

Trump boat parades have become popular as the Nov. 3 election nears. Perhaps the most memorable was on Sept. 5, when multiple boats sank in a Texas lake west of Austin during a get-together; no one was injured.

A Kansas City-based Facebook group also says it is making plans for a Trump Vehicle Parade on Saturday, Sept. 26, with a projected route from Liberty Memorial to The Plaza.
