Louie Wright’s petition for recount dismissed
Louie Wright’s petition for a recount of the April 7 vote in the 1st District Kansas City Council primary election has been dismissed, and he has no plans to appeal.
Wright came in third in the primary, just 32 votes behind incumbent Dick Davis. Challenger Heather Hall was in first place. The top two vote-getters advance to the June 23 general election.
Wright sought to preserve his right for a recount but a Clay County judge has dismissed the petition. Hall and Davis will have their names on the general election ballot.
