Dee Evans suspends campaign for KC’s 3rd District at-large
Dee Evans announced Friday she is suspending her campaign for the Kansas City Council 3rd District at-large seat.
Evans’ husband recently died unexpectedly and she said she is not able to devote 100 percent of her energies to the City Council election at this time.
Evans’ name will remain on the April 7 ballot, but she has endorsed another candidate, Quinton Lucas, for the seat.
Other candidates for the seat are Karmello Coleman, Forestine Beasley, Carol Gatlin and Stephan Gordon.
