Funeral service for James B. Nutter Sr. to be held Thursday

The funeral service for Kansas City business and civic leader James Nutter Sr. has been scheduled for Thursday.

Nutter died Friday at the age of 89. He was one of Kansas City’s most prominent mortgage lenders and a political power broker for decades.

The visitation for Nutter will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Unity Temple on the Plaza, 707 W. 47th St.

The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway.
