KC Land Bank hosting Open House with financing advice
People wishing to purchase Kansas City Land Bank properties can get financing advice at a June 23 Open House.
Financial institutions, real estate agencies, title companies and builders will be available to answer questions from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Land Bank offices, 4900 Swope Parkway.
“Money is available to buy Land Bank houses to rehabilitate, and money is available to build new homes on Land Bank vacant lots,” Land Bank Executive Director Ted Anderson said in a statement.
Bank representatives and others will be available to instruct interested buyers on home ownership, he said.
The Land Bank has thousands of abandoned properties for sale, although many of the homes require extensive repairs. The agency’s mission is to return these properties to productive use and to the tax rolls.
