KC Council approves 2 percent raise for city manager

The Kansas City Council on Thursday approved a 2 percent raise for City Manager Troy Schulte, in line with what other management employees are getting.

The raise boosts Schulte’s base annual salary from $205,000 to $209,100, retroactive to June 1. His current contract runs through Dec. 1, 2015.

Schulte said he was pleased with the council’s vote of confidence.

“We’re making progress and we’ll keep working,” he said.
