A semitrailer rolled over onto its side Monday morning after it ran off a ramp to westbound Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Kan.

The crash forced the ramp from northbound Interstate 635 to westbound I-70 to be closed temporarily during the morning’s rush hour.

The ramp had partially reopened by 7:30 a.m., allowing traffic to squeeze past.

Crews expect it to take two to three hours to remove the overturned semi, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred about 6:20 a.m. Monday. The extent of injuries, if any, was not immediately available.

Transportation officials urged drivers to use alternate routes.
