Kansas certifies Greg Orman for November ballot in U.S. Senate race
Kansas voters will be able to cast a ballot for an unaffiliated U.S. Senate candidate in November.
The secretary of state’s office said Friday that independent Greg Orman had submitted enough valid petition signatures to qualify for the general election ballot. He needed at least 5,000 signatures.
Orman is a Johnson County businessman. He announced a campaign for the Senate in 2008 as a Democrat but later withdrew.
Orman will face Sen. Pat Roberts, a Republican, and Democrat Chad Taylor. Both were nominated in party primaries Aug. 5.
Libertarian Randall Batson is also on the November ballot.
