Girl, 2, goes viral singing her ABCs like a Broadway star
Somewhere in Violet Ogea’s future, there is a Tony Award waiting for her.
But for now, she’ll have to settle for viral video star du jour.
Violet’s mom, Christina Ogea, posted a video of Violet singing the ABCs to Facebook on Thursday and it gobbled up views faster than you can sing “next time won’t you sing with me.”
That vibrato, that stage presence, people are gushing. The video has been viewed more than 3.7 million times.
“Every song she knows, she sings like this,” Ogea told The Huffington Post. “The whole family really enjoys music so it’s always playing in the house and she learns the songs when I sing to her rocking to sleep at night.”
Ogea told CNN that every day when she picks up Violet at preschool the little song bird runs to the theater “and makes me and her brothers sit in the audience so she can sing for us. She really digs the acoustics in there.”
The clip of Violet singing got a boost online from “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who just wrapped up a 17-week run on Broadway in the one-man show, “Fully Committed.”
Ferguson posted it to his Facebook page where he compared Violet to the late Broadway performer Elaine Stritch.
“I can't help but think this what Elaine Stritch was like as a child. Obsessed. #BigFinish,” he wrote.
Could someone now teach Violet jazz hands?
