‘White elevators’ sign coming down at GOP convention
There is only one word to begin a story like this.
Yikes.
People could not believe their eyes when they saw this huge sign inside the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, where the Republican National Convention is taking place: “White Elevators.”
Huh?
OK so who dropped acid before they hung the White Elevator signs at the Republican Convention? C'mon raise your hand 0_o

Wow! As if the Republican Party Platform wasn't already racist enough! Someone at the RNC ok'd this. #WhiteElevator pic.twitter.com/JDDDPzmm3l

I'm sure they are red and blue elevators. But I took the stairs. #gopconvention

Unverified reports suggested that the sign corresponded to some kind of patriotic red-white-and-blue seating section arrangement inside the arena.
It’s not clear who vetted them or why they were hung up in the first place. The New York Daily News tried but failed to get a comment from either Donald Trump’s camp or RNC organizers.
Byron Tau, the Wall Street Journal reporter who first spotted the signs, said RNC staffers were taking them down.
Spotted at the #RNCinCLE. I'm told it's being replaced for obvious reasons. pic.twitter.com/SVayl1zGCd

I feel bad for all the black republicans at the convention that will never get to ride the white elevator in secret now.
