Here is more proof that some people - even dear ol’ dad - will do anything for Internet fame.

In what Montreal father David Freiheit calls an “Internet first,” he used a live squirel to pull a loose tooth out of his daughter’s mouth.

Kind of nutty, right?

Turns out all he needed was a long length of dental floss, granola, a box of tissues for clean-up and one brave (and cute) daughter.

The setting: A park bench in Montreal.

First he tied one end of the floss to the tooth.

“What if it falls out while you tie it?” his daughter wondered.

Ah, smart girl. But it didn’t.

Then he tied the other end of the floss to some granola he placed at the other end of the bench.

It took all but a split second for a squirrel to jump onto the bench, grab the granola and run off ... with the bloody tooth attached to the floss.

“Oh that was amazing!” Freiheit said.

“Oh that was gross!” said the more than 300,000 people who have watched the YouTube video.

“Can I get have another $5 from the tooth fairy?” his daughter asked.

She should have asked for $500.
