#HappyBirthdayYourMajesty: Twitter throws Queen Elizabeth a 90th birthday party
What do you get a queen for her 90th birthday?
In the age of social media, you send her a tweet.
Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday today has turned #HappyBirthdayYourMajesty into a trending topic worldwide.
Schoolchildren, bar owners, celebrities, members of the military, bookies - even cats and dogs - have sent her birthday tweets.
The British Monarchy’s own official Twitter account is downright giddy today, covering its Twitter page with birthday balloons and tweeting one of the elegant photos Annie Leibovitz took of the queen for this special occasion.

Maybe she’ll stop in for a birthday drink. A queen cannot live on tea alone.
