Your mother does what?
On Thursday Sen. Claire McCaskill shared the story of how her son, when he was in grade school, got a little mixed up about what his mommy did for a living.
He called her the “best prostitute in Kansas City.”
“He was confused,” McCaskill said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“He was writing a paper. He was in the second grade. I explained to him that I was a big prosecutor in Kansas City — how great I was.”
In 1992 McCaskill became the first woman elected Jackson County prosecutor.
But her son put her on the other side of the law.
“He, accidentally, when he wrote the paper, said I was the best prostitute in Kansas City,” McCaskill laughed.
“He was confused and the teacher thought it was hysterical. And obviously it was.”
That essay now lives in the family scrapbook.
