CENTENNIAL, Colo. – A pilot is dead after crashing a small plane just feet away from a home south of Denver.
The twin-engine Cessna 404 came down in a snowy front yard, several feet away from the residence, after taking off from nearby Centennial Airport around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
South Metro Fire Rescue Authority spokeswoman Becky O'Guin says the plane slid through at least one other yard before stopping in front of the home.
No one else was injured. The pilot’s identity hasn’t been released.
