Man dead in Memphis may be amputee wanted in Florida slaying
ORLANDO, Fla. – Detectives from central Florida are heading to Memphis where authorities are trying to determine whether a man found dead in a car is a quadruple amputee considered a “person of interest” in the shooting deaths of his parents.
Police officers pulled over a vehicle in Memphis on Monday and as they exited their car, they heard a “pop” sound. They found the driver dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Orange County Sheriff’s officials said Tuesday they’re heading to Tennessee after being notified that dead man may be connected to the search for 30-year-old Sean Petrozzino. Detectives have been looking for him since last week when the bodies of 64-year-old Nancy Petrozzino and 63-year-old Michael Petrozzino were found fatally shot inside their Orlando home.
A positive identification hasn’t yet been made.
