Lottery player is ‘living in a fantasy’ after winning huge jackpot in Michigan
A Michigan man plays the lottery every day but was shocked when he saw he won a huge jackpot.
The 56-year-old Calhoun County man bought a Fantasy 5 ticket for the Oct. 21 drawing online, according to the Michigan Lottery.
“I usually buy one draw game ticket a day whether it’s Fantasy 5, Powerball, Lotto 47, etc., and this specific day I decided to play Fantasy 5,” he told lottery officials.
The man said he was alerted that he won but didn’t know how much.
“I saw an email come through that night about claiming a prize, which I realized was different from the usual ‘your winnings have arrived’ emails. That’s when I logged into my account and saw I won big,” he said.
He won the game’s jackpot of $280,073.
“Winning a Fantasy 5 jackpot has me feeling like I’m living in a fantasy,” he said.
He said he plans to pay bills, help his kids and save the rest.
The winning numbers were 4, 7, 24, 25 and 30.
