Dad gets help from ‘good luck charm’ while buying lottery tickets. He wins big

A man and his “good luck charm” of a son landed a big lottery prize in Ohio, officials said.

The man used his son when shopping for tickets before stumbling upon a $10 Holiday Cash Vault scratcher, according to an Oct. 31 news release by the Ohio Lottery.

The son will normally point out a ticket, and if the dad likes the pick, he’ll buy it, officials said.

The setup has landed the two prizes before, but they were left “surprised” after learning of their new $500,000 win in Dover, officials said.

After taxes, the dad brought home a whopping $364,375, officials said.

The dad “still can’t believe he won,” so he hasn’t yet decided how to spend his winnings, lottery officials said.

Dover is about an 80-mile drive southeast from Cleveland.
