Penthouse for sale in WI is ‘fierce, brilliant and unapologetically original’
When someone utters the word “penthouse,” the cities that usually shoot to mind are New York, Los Angeles, Chicago or San Francisco.
But, hear us out: Milwaukee.
That’s right, a 5,769-square-foot, two-bedroom, four-bathroom luxury apartment is taking center stage in Wisconsin for $2.8 million, and the interior is a surprise all its own.
“Experience Milwaukee’s Gold Coast in this extraordinary lakefront penthouse condo, the collaboration of a visionary interior designer and Architect Wade Weissman,” the listing on Zillow says.
“Conceived with the sensibility of an art gallery yet designed for comfort and entertaining, the residence captures panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the city skyline.”
But the main character of this property is the decorated interior that has its own personality. Take a stroll through the magenta hallways with sculptures and insanely cool photography, then step into the living room where the views captivate and the kaleidoscopic furniture lifts spirits.
The colorful residence was featured on Zillow Gone Wild, a popular Facebook page that highlights homes on the market all around the country. While people had mixed feelings, the real estate agent who holds the listing, Kelley Ruzicka with Firefly Real Estate, gave the home high praise.
“Let’s be real — the world often celebrates ‘man’s design,’ but this home reflects a woman’s vision: fierce, brilliant, and unapologetically original,” Ruzicka said in the comment section.
“Every corner embodies creativity, intelligence, and strength — the kind of design that doesn’t ask for approval.”
Others agreed.
“The current owner IS an artist as well as community advocate/philanthropist. She was a single mother working in a factory and had the opportunity to buy the manufacturing company and then was able to sell it to Milwaukee Tool,” one person said.
“Did Prince live here??? Did he make waffles in that kitchen?” another joked.
“I could live like this…but it would be quite the task to walk my 5 dogs,” someone said.
“Does it come furnished? That’s the only way I’d buy it,” one person commented.
