‘Engineering marvel’ ranch lists in Michigan. But folks are weirded out by it
A ranch for sale in Michigan is gathering quite a bit of attention from a popular social media real estate page — and for a good reason.
Don’t let the external photos fool you: Like Doctor Who’s tardis, it’s way bigger on the inside.
“This newer custom ranch home is an ENGINEERING MARVEL with all high quality materials & finishes to match,” the listing on Realtor says about the home, which is priced at $1.45 million.
“Twenty completely fenced acres. Designed for entertaining with open floor plan, impressive bar and a phenomenal, professional, 24 seat theatre with lobby, bathrooms and concession!”
Located in Bear Lake, the home has four bedrooms and 3.5-plus bathrooms along with that massive theater. The residence is a whopping 7,374 square feet. While the size of the place impresses, there’s also some questionable decor throughout the interior.
Consider the indoor hot tub surrounded by carpeting.
There’s also a gym, along with a separate building for autos, boats and other things that go vroom-vroom.
The residence was featured on Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page that showcases interesting real estate listings. And people were a bit confused regarding the vibes.
“This looks like a modern version of the Overlook Hotel in the movie, ‘The Shining,’” one person said.
“This is the house I built in Sims when I was 9,” another joked.
“Nobody said anything about the hot tub in the family room, on top of carpeting?” someone asked.
Bear Lake is about a 135-mile drive north from Grand Rapids.
