Pregnant woman’s body found in plastic tote in Ohio, cops say. 2 men arrested
Two men were arrested in Ohio after police found a pregnant woman’s body in a plastic tote.
On Aug. 3, Jackson Township police were called for reports of a dead person, according to an Aug. 7 Facebook post by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
When police arrived, they learned that two people walking along a roadway found a plastic tote with a woman’s body inside, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office responded to the scene at that time, and the coroner took the woman’s body. The woman was identified as 28-year-old Brittany Fuhr-Storms, and an autopsy revealed she was pregnant, according to deputies.
Investigators searched Fuhr-Storms last known address and “based on information obtained there, investigators then contacted Middletown Division” and launched a joint investigation,” deputies said.
Authorities later searched a man’s home in Middletown and found drugs and “items related to the death investigation,” deputies said.
The man “admitted to drug trafficking” and said Fuhr-Storms died at the home under “suspicious circumstances,” according to the sheriff’s office. He then said her body was at the home for around four days before it was disposed of, deputies said.
He was charged with corrupting another with drugs, tampering with evidence, gross abuse of a corpse, trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs, failure to report crime or death and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Another man was questioned and told investigators Fuhr-Storms died in the home and her body was there almost a week, deputies said.
He is charged with gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
Both of the men said they knew Fuhr-Storms was pregnant, according to deputies.
Jackson Township is about a 15-mile drive southwest from Dayton.
